Jeppe Hein: Mirror Balloons
We realized this project on behalf of artist Jeppe Hein.
As the balloons were to be set up in a public space at an airport, they had to be made of a material that complies with fire protection regulations: in this case, stainless steel.
The Mirror Balloons were first polished and then PVD-coated, allowing them to be designed in different colors while retaining their characteristic mirror finish.
